Konditori - Artisan European Bakery

Exquisite bakes. Picturesque pastries. The alluring glorious aroma from freshly baked loaves, coming right from this mini store situated at Kampong Glam Bussorah Street. Konditori, an Artisan European Bakery by Fika Swedish & Bistro, with bakes and patisseries like croissants, breads, fruit tarts and cakes. Konditori’s bakes are made with Swedish recipes, concentrating on European bakery. They are good for to-go (takeaways) as the store is very small and narrow, with very limited seats. There is always an ongoing queue there and their bakes sold out fast

each day.

Delectable and enticing bakes of Konditori

Konditori have a minimalistic interior and the bakes are beautifully arranged and displayed on the table along with glass panel shelves. We can also see the bakers preparing and baking freshly on the spot at the designated corner. Konditori bakes do look very delectable and enticing.

Danish Strawberry Cream Cheese $5.90

The Danish Strawberry Cream Cheese. Scrumptious bread that is crunchy munchy

yet super soft on the inside, topped with cream cheese, strawberry cuts and blueberries. Cream cheese is sweet, milky rich and very fresh. It is not sour at all and a perfect one. It does not overpower the bread and goes well together.

The taste of the cream cheese reminds me of the cheese tart cheese. Along with juicy bites of sweet berries on top, this one is flavourful and wonderful in the mouth. Just that I thought it might be more complete and more marvelous if

there is a filling on the inside of the bread too.

Pain Au Chocolate (on the right) $3.50 & Dark Angel $4.50 (on the top left)

Pain Au Chocolate. It is a type of viennoiserie sweet roll. This chocolate croissant roll is devilishly good! My top favorite one! A magnificent delectable piece of layered doughs that is crumbly, puffy and buttery. Very crunchy and flaky too, with crumb bites that falls all over the place. There is a sugary sweet glazing to the outer part, also with icing sugar coating on top. The chocolate filling inside is creamy and milky too. I love this. It is one of the best chocolate roll I have ever tasted and it is really delicious, sweet and does not tasted plain on its own.

The Dark Angel. Just like its name, it is a double chocolate bread that is hefty and enticing. It looks like a rugby ball, with checkered patterns of icing sugar. It is filled with lots and lots of chocolate chips and bits of chocolate filling. Definitely rich in chocolate but bitter taste is present due to the dark chocolate. The bread itself is not the soft type and quite normal, hence it would be nicer if it is more like a homemade soft bread.

Overall I think that Konditori have nice passiteries that are beautiful. Buy one or two is enough for oneself because their breads are really big. Just that for the store itself, it is really cramped up and their bakes are really meant for takeaways and to be eaten on the go or at home. While walking around Kampong Glam, just drop by to visit Konditori for their assorted delicious bakes.
